BETHESDA, Md. – October 7, 2026 – Lieutenant General (Ret.) John S. Kolasheski brings more than 34 years of Army leadership and experience in U.S. and allied operations to Diverse Systems Group (DSG) as a Consultant and Strategic Advisor.

At DSG, Kolasheski provides strategic counsel informed by a career that included command and staff assignments in the United States, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Europe. His experience leading Army organizations and working with NATO allies gives him a view of defense requirements from both the operational and coalition perspectives.

John has led Soldiers and organizations at some of the highest levels of the Army, with extensive experience working alongside our allies and partners,” said Keith Scott. “He understands the operational environment and the role that coordination between U.S. and allied forces plays in meeting the mission. That perspective is valuable to DSG and the customers we serve.

Kolasheski commanded the U.S. Army’s V Corps from 2020 to 2024, overseeing operations in Eastern Europe after leading the 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley, Kansas from 2018-2020.

His other senior assignments included Operations Officer for U.S. Army Forces Command, Commandant of the U.S. Army Armor School, Deputy Commanding General of the 1st Infantry Division, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Communications for the International Security Assistance Force and later Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.

Kolasheski’s work with NATO has continued since his retirement from the Army in 2024. As a Land Domain Expert in NATO’s Senior Mentor Program, he advises senior NATO commanders and staff on plans, operations, and exercises. He also serves as Executive Vice President for Global Operations at TechWerks and as a senior advisor to several other companies.

My experiences in and out of uniform have reinforced the importance of a clear mission, close coordination, and trust among those responsible for carrying it out. I look forward to applying that experience at DSG to help identify where the company can best support defense and federal customers.
